New article published in the Journal of Business Research

Together with colleagues from Utrecht University (Ass.-Prof. Dr. Coen Rigtering and Ass.-Prof. Dr. Jason Gawke) and Erasmus University Rotterdam (Vinh Phan, MSc.), Prof. Dr. Thomas Niemand from the Department Management of Digital Transformation at the Institute of Economics has published an article in the Journal of Business Research. The article deals with the role of individual entrepreneurial orientation, colloquially the "mindset" of behaving like an entrepreneur, in intrapreneurs. The authors can show empirically that four prototypes of behavioral patterns exist that explain role-specific performance and intrapreneurship. These patterns are defined by the individual entrepreneurial orientation and their self-efficacy. In simple terms, the willingness to commit to improvements within the company depends on the mindset of behaving like an entrepreneur and the expectation of self-efficacy as an entrepreneur. Important characteristics of entrepreneurship therefore also apply to intrapreneurs. The article is available in open access here:
