Should you be interested in writing your theses with our department, you can learn about the general procedure here.

Bachelor's theses are assigned at the beginning of each semester and must be completed in the same semester. A list of possible topics is published on this page at the beginning of April and the beginning of October. You can then apply for one of these topics around two weeks later. Exceptions to this procedure are not possible.

Anecessary prerequisite for an application for one of the advertised topics is that all admission requirements for the registration of the Bachelor's thesis are already fulfilled at the time of application. If a topic is assigned, proof of this is required in the form of a transcript of records.

Successful participation in the course "Anleitung zum wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten" or comparable courses is also required. Students who do not fulfill this requirement are strongly recommended to obtain the lecture notes for the course "Anleitung zum wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten".

It is strongly recommended that those interested in writing a Bachelor's thesis use this information to get an idea of the topics in advance.

The application for the offered topics starts on October 15, 2025 at 12 noon in Stud.IP. All information on the application procedure can be found in this document. All interested parties who have applied for a topic in Stud.IP will receive a reply to their TUC e-mail address within 14 days. Please refrain from making further enquiries (by telephone / e-mail) during this time.

No further Bachelor theses will be assigned until the next semester.

Master's theses are awarded by the Department of Business Administration and Marketing on request.

Anecessary prerequisite for applying for a Master's thesis is that at least two specialization courses offered by the Chair from the Master's programme (i.e. from the range of seminars or the compulsory elective courses offered by the Chair) have been completed and graded as at least sufficient.

Successful participation in the course "Anleitung zum wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten" or comparable courses on independent scientific work is also required. Students who do not fulfill this requirement are strongly recommended to obtain the lecture notes for the course "Anleitung zum wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten".
